Gale Force Winds and Floods

Been out for a mooch this morning and every where flooded, becks burst its banks again, like rabbiting a chuffing paddy field, me and dogs making more noise than a sludge pump, gonna have to move onto fells for a mooch.

 

Anyone else having same problem.

Started out today to have a walk/stand pheasant shoot but by 11am we decided to stop because of the high winds, the woods got to dangerous to go through and the birds stood a chance of wing damage when flushed. Weather forcast right for a change.

same on some of my ground the fields have been holding water for well over amonth and with this rain looks to be a good while yet before we get any firmness in the ground next we will have hard frost keeping us in why can,t we just have the wind without the rain

Yip been exactly the same here for over a week now fecking depressing cant get over the door its blowing a gale outside and pisssing down as I type this

ground wasnt bad last night, but will be tonight, West cumbria had it worse.... the river at cockermouth burst its banks on thursday i think. I personally dont think that river had recovered from the last spell of heavy persistent rain.
