bullmastiff 615
Does anyone feed this or have any views on it? Bought a small amount from the local store when I ran out of our usual food and the dogs seemed to get on well with it, but haven't seen it in the shop since, neither of my dogs are fussy eaters and will eat anything put in front of them (including a bowl of raw veg! ) but Roo gets really bad dandruff on the cheaper complete foods. I've found it on the net but don't want to go ordering kilos of it if it's rubbish!! Thanks Luke.

bullmastiff 615
No, that's their muesli, meat meal and marrowbone stuff. Crown/active is just a normal looking nugget type food. http://www.vitalinpetfood.co.uk/crown.htm
Guest foxyjo.
I use it and like it a lot. depsite it's mankey appearence. My dogs were used to raw meat, mostly calf, and I couldn't find a decent replacement when we left kennels. My Grandmother recommended this, and I don't normally take a lot of notice, (!) but i tried it in the end and they're been on it over 12 months now. My terrier can get scurfy but he hasn't at all since I've been feeding this, and the GSD has a delicate tummy, but again, no probs. It's also been a really good weight gainer for the little lurcher, she has such a high metabolism, I struggle to keep up with her. It's not expensive, I pay £10.99 inc vat for the sack. I'm sure it could be got cheaper in bulk. Having said all of this, I don't feed it on it's own. Mine have dog meat with it too, and scraps, as well as oil. I also soak it down with warm water. Hope that helps.

The Ferret Tamer 1
Our dogs have been fed on Vitalin for ages, plus meat and veg of course. Lurchers and greyhounds (all gone now) liked all of the different ones the older dog liked the musili soaked in hot water towards the end of his life, he was 19 yrs old. The Parsons have been fed on it all their life, started on puppy then onto crown working now Active. No skin problems, good coats and no sloppy poos. The wifes ferrets are fed on Vitalin Ferret, they look good on it. I would just like to add I would recommend this to anyone not because the wife runs a ferret rescue and is sponsored by Vitalin. My dogs were fed on it for years before she got the sponsorship, its good stuff, dogs and ferrets do well on it. FT
