surefire, ultrafire or superfire ?

Recommended Posts

just got hold of an ultrafire WF501B 3 Watt IR..

tried it breifly against the yukon digital reangers IR and one 135mw illumiater.. the light it gives is 'diferent' to the illuminater, less than the yukons 2000mw iluminater (suprise suprise) but well usefull...sort of blankets the ground/bush's, where as the 135 illuminater is a spot.. and shine a little bit further with better focusing on the digi and a gen 1 intendsifier..

alas the torch light no...

the fenix TK10 wazzed on all the illumaters for distance and spill though.

price wise the unltra IR is wicked..(try ebay...seriously).

there is 3 types a x2 AA batt 3 watt which is light in weight and good out to about 45 yards, the x2 C batt, 3 watt bit fatter same length slightly heavier good out to about 60 yards and a x2 D batt, 4 watt mega bright big and heavy more suited to the hand rather than the rifle.

is that not a bit heavy timelord ?

Not at all and they are a lot better than all the above torches and only cost about £9 compared to buying the same sort of thing in this country for about £60. Have a look HERE.

You'll also see it fixed to my gun in my signature ;)

Just got a 3 watt cree that takes 2 AA from tesco for about a tenner as recomended by taff and i have to say i am well impressed this is super bright and a nice tight spot light ideal for rabbits at 35/40 yards ! And cos its only 2 AA batteries i can just use normal rechargables !

Thanks again Taff good recomendation !!!
