Aled 474
My boy is 2 years old, and loves the tour of the back of the garage, where my fishing and field sports stuff are kept. He'll often pick up a fishing rod and say in Welsh that Dada is taking baba fishing. He hepled me gut a trout on Wednesday. Personally i dont think thats a bad start! jembo 0
I started foxhunting on horse back at about 8. Gave up horses when i had my daughter, then have got back into it over the last couple of years. Went out with the VWH last season, but the horse had no breaks! Started shooting with my dad every Sunday from about 6, only with a rifle. Ended up getting a resuce lurcher kept him for a year before he was pts as very old and not happy anymore, since then i have 3 now and love them to bits especially working them. My daughter will hunt next season and hopefully come out with the dogs this season.
billy badger 0
My dad has kept ferrets and lurchers for as long as i can remember. I first started going out with him ferreting carrying the odd rabbit and netting up a couple of holes, as i got older i began going out lamping and shooting with him. I'm 17 now and i have my own dog a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull bitch just for the small stuff rabbits etc but i use my dad's bull x's if i'm after anything bigger. I enjoy going out for a long walks most letting the dog's hunt up their own quarry which has paid off as ive had a few bambi's this way (Roe and Fallow) two of which have been stags with a good rack's on them (Obviously this was not intended as it is illegal and i don't agree with it ). I love getting up close and, depending on the quarry, getting in on the action and i'm glad that my dad got me involved in hunting at a young age and hopefully one day when i've got a family of my own i will be able to do the same.
