mackem 27,029
I have ferreted and lamped at Malham, excellent place or it was then, lifting with rabbits,we even had mooches around in daylight letting the dogs pick them from their seats or run them into the grikes and clints,Gary Hosker was the one who first highlighted the massive amount of rabbits if I remember correctly,I am sure many here remember his tales of rabbiting the limestone with his beddie/greyhound "Spud"

Did many trips ferreting with Gary in the early 80s. Pretty much always used to get as many as we could carry, around the forty mark on a pole strung out between us! Heres an old pic at Garys forge with Spud in the background. Cheers, D.

bigphil 0
Went up for a little walk around today and come across a few warrens on my travel lol. Only did 3 or 4 decent ones and come home with 14 nice rabbits. Which is quite a surprise as i have 3 new jills and this was only the second time ive took them out. 2 of them didnt really work at all but 1 did (savage) she had all 14 by her self. Very nice place to go walking with the family, wouldnt mind going camping up there and spending the weekend with the dogs and ferrets. Very good day and will be going back soon!
