A good friend of mine who lives just along the road from me caught some big numbers with Vic and his best was with a daughter of Blue called Whizz, she bagged 108 rabbits in one session Nr Bowes in or around 1990,the dog had plenty going for it with much of the land being stone walled etc but nevertheless they still had to be caught and even worse carried :o .The pic shown above with Blue, the rabbits were caught Nr Penrith on a piece of ground known to us up here as White Gates, the rabbits although once plentiful were not easy, the hedgerows over the years have all but disappeared due to the bunnies, they have no bottom to them and they just run straight through them into the next field and out of the lamp.Blue was a very good dog and i can say that from first hand experience of seeing him graft...was he the best? Who knows? Cheers Andy. :boogy:
