decoy rigging

new to wildfowling and was just wondering how to rig decoys in deep water. im goin after tufties. any help would be amazing! :icon_redface:

 

Hi ya mate how deep we talking?? first of all you need an achor point i assume your shooting a mudflat on a rising tide??? i've done it by running a main line from the anchor point which is usually a lead weight heavy enough to take the itde your shooting! you have loops going up your mainline however far apart you want ya decoys apart! all my decoys have 4 feet there abouts of mono line attached with a clip which you clip to ya mainline going to the anchor!! experiment with it and find out which patterns work best!! same princible in a lake as well really except i used to put my decoys out single in freshwater!! hope this helps

yea its about an oar and a bits depth. so bout 15 foot i would say.

its in freshwater. do you have to use more than one anchor line to get good patterns or can i clip them all i to one and let them clump together a bit?
