Step-By-Step Rifle Spraying

Recommended Posts

Well, after seeing a few other members on here spraying their guns, i thought i'd give it a bash and finally got round to doing it last week and decided to do a step by step so you can all see the stages i went through.

First of all i went down to B&Q and chose my colours that i wanted and made sure they wern't reflective and went for a Matte and Flat shine.

Then once i had my sprays ready, i started off by removing the action from the stock, covering the parts i didn't want spraying and put my first Primary colour on, which was the Grey Primer.

After that i put on my second coat which was my background colour which was a Dark Bage Satin.

I then did the same with the Action and the Scope, and when the Action was dry i fitted it back into the stock.

Then after the Satin was dry i went over it with my chosen pattern which was from a Jappanese plant, which i don't know which one but it kinda looks like a Cannabis leaf :icon_eek: and then sprayed over the top in a Flat Black.

I then did the same on the scope, and be carefull you don't spray the lens.

And after all that i fixed my scope on the rifle.

I hope you all like it and if it helped you at all. P.s pics are bellow in Reply sorry.

Thats a fantastic job well done!

The leaf by the way is from a japanese acer or maple, gives a very nice broken pattern im impressed.

I just wondered if the results would be better with an airbrushed finish and lacquered afterwards but im not certain the results speak for themselves. I wouldnt dare start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
