Nice one, I'm making some myself for the first time this year my Grandad used to make 500 gallons every year and it was good bartering stuff

that old boy is vern husttle, i no him well! iv been there to buy my veg too but iv stopped now cos every time you go he wont let you leave without a drink or two and it is supper strong stuff that taists like apple juice and before you no it your fu.ked and i mean fuk.ed, great chap though he will sell you a full fresh barrel for £100 thats 45 gallons of the devils brew and god it makes you giddy.. nice pic tally il tell him he is a world wide star now!!

was going to be one of my projects this year was to make my own car jack press , just need to find a half decent barrel

Looks amazing. You can't beat proper cider :clapper::clapper:

 

No offence to anyone who drinks strongbow, magners or most ciders available in supermarkets (and I do myself sometimes) it's rubbish compared to the proper stuff!

 

Where can I get hold of a few gallons of this? If I were you, I'd be helping him as much as I could :thumbs:

mmmm!! Lovely! I made my own "traditional" cider from my apples for the first time last year, i'm addicted and want the proper equipment but i'll have to make do with my small fruit-press for now. Does anyone have any experience of using garden shredders etc for chopping up apples before pressing??

we used a blener type arangement wit ha funnel at the top you put 10 apples in the top and sludge comes out at the bottem :thumbs: not sure what the technical names for all that is though

Liquidizer, then strain the juice off ?
