This is her second season and she is realy on form, she takes feather at 1lb 13 3/4 oz and will take fur at 1lb 14 1/4 oz. We have had a good start to the season with 4 rabbits, 6 pheasants a squirel and a stoat. A short bit about last season, we all thaught that rio was a male with an entering weight of 1lb 8oz, she took her first hare at 1lb 10oz and finished the season at 1lb 13oz. So before i put her down to moult i got her DNA and it turned out that she was a female to alot of peoples supprise. We are going to scotland on sunday for a week so i will let you all know how we get on. A couple from last season Quote Link to post

Jasper Couldnt agree more i love her at this size shes got the best of both worlds the speed and agility of a male but the power of a female. Quote Link to post

Jasper My old harris hawk hunted at 2lb 8 1/2 0z and was flown every day.I dont know if she was superior or not the bloke i had her off just said she was bloody big.To tell the honest truth she was no better or worse than a lot of smaller females Quote Link to post
