The Army use unruley dogs not the police

The police do use rescue dogs or dogs donated by the public.

Found out she was dog aggressive so gave her too us

Cheers mate sounds ideal

But gotta build my run first.

I wish it would be ready sooner.

Working on it after school everyday.

My garden was a right mess.

Cleaned it all up cut all brambles down

And cut down the trees.

Now ive been clearing the ground.

Ready to lay down the cement.

Gotta inside kennel for it nearly sorted

nearly bricked up 1 more wall to do

Then i gotta fixs the roof.

And make the actual run.

Be about 2-3 months before im ready

Your a bit wrong there, the police dont use any special lines!! In fact most of their dogs come from pet homes who donate them for being too unruley or dissobedient etc...

:wallbash:

Ha, just shows how much knowledge the police (and 'gardai') have about dogs.... a police/working dog should come from East German working lines. No show lines whatsoever. A dog can't do both properly, don't care what anyone says. Put under pressure, those police dogs will crack. A lot of American cops have it right.

But anyway - I've said it before, but I know of a GSDxDoberman catching hares during the day of his own accord, by running them into herds of cattle to confuse them. If you want a GSD as a worker, get schutzhund lines, esp. East German. Don't get dogs with show titles. Straight backs and gernerally more black or sable coloured than most GSD's are the dogs you're looking for as workers. He will hunt for you.

My dobe is showing strong interest, only been out once and no rabbits were out, but I'm sure he'll bring some home.

Good luck

I thought the GSD show lines in the UK had dodgy back legs and hips, they would need a zimmer frame to catch a rabbit or do police work surely.

Back to your question mate I would get a whip/grey myself, loads of speed for the rabbits and not too big either, good dogs mate

All three of our stags will take rabbits and hares...i personaly think its bollocks about big dogs struggling on small game.

Kye,..

this is the bro,s dog 33tts and 100lb...you wont get much bigger and he took 12/12 lampin a few weeks back.....very good ferretin too...so i think even thiugh the bigger dogs ae slower on the turn and not as quick off the mark as a wippet we,ll say they can make it up with brains and a good strike....

Man, would love to see that lad on a nice winter coyote?...i sit pure Derrhound, or has it got Greyhound in it aswell?...im probably gonna breed my Staghound bitch when she comes in season next...i might put her dad back over her..not sure yet.

Kye..
