SPAR 2
This last week or two I have been struggling in keeping the bomber interested in me its got to be something to do with the weather she's still killing but a bit less interest in me but at the end of the day she's doig what I want her to do. I have an hour walk around my land had a few flights at hare and a rabbit when I discided to call it a day started walking back to my motor and see 3 Partridge about 200 yards feeding just behind that a hare jumped straight onto the track from a beet field and spooked these 3 partridge 2 broke before they got to me quickly unhood the fat cow by this time the third one was about 20 foot infront of me coming straight over my head she see it and BANG in mid-air unlucky, in the bag thank you Mr Hare Quote Link to post

SPAR 2
How many falconers can honestly say 20% of there quarry is quality, YES numbers arn't my thing but if your not getting flights wether it be good or bad = kills then your bird has got no hope. Quote Link to post
Harris Will 3
Quality mate.... How many kills has she had now? Why do you ask how many kill's the bird has had.. ..i could of killed 100 bit's of game maybe more upto now...but none of the kill's would of been quality flights...and none of them would of been benificial to the bird at all.. The question you need (want) to be asking is how many quality flight's has the bird had..none of the mugging's and none of the ambushes.. Quality level flight's and kill's is what we want to see..not fecked up stuff bursting out of cover 2ft away infront of you.. Good stuff by the way on the Partridge.. Millet I only asked Millet me old mucka. Spars a good mate of mine & i just wanted to see how many Abi had tallied so far this season... Not wanting to get in an argument over this but do you mean to say that you have been holding your bird back from "easier" slips because it creates bad habits or something? I understand that we would all love them to be 150yrd + flights but it dont alway pan out that way in the field! Well at least not on my permission anyway! Anyhow, we Harris Hawk flyers are used to the odd mugging or two (thats a joke before i get blasted by other HH owners) lol Will Quote Link to post

Keep up the good work and hope you both have a cracking season... Quote Link to post
