Paul in North Lincs 15
first of all kennel him...then he can chew his back wheels off. if you want to stock brake him...walk him on a lead through a sheep pen..........when he starts to get excited..give him a good clout..........keep repeating this until, until he shows no interest...could take a while, but he should be young enough to learn. sound like hes got bags of drive.....could be chewing out of bordum, of because he's wired up, fustrated and wants to be on. What do you intend doing with him??????? Quote Link to post
Irish Lurcher 1,013
Simple to cure. It will takes a few sessions, but try walk around a flock of sheep on the lead, he will want to chase them, but a good sharp jerk of the lead sideways while useing the command NO, this will soon teach him that this is not the done thing and the penny will drop, then when you have him walking around the sheep with him showing no interest then bring him ringht upto them, again he might want to chase, again a sharp jerk sidways on the lead will distract him and the command NO should be used. It will take time but you will him back on track. Quote Link to post
