ghillies 209
as simple as.. http://www.chairgun.com/ ''software'' tab chairgun... download here. then back to soft ware....... MDRF.. MDRF set up.... it's free, if you want to you can donate, if not just click do it later the box disapears and it runs the same. chairgun basicaly lets you work out what zero range you want, you can change all the setting and look at posable sinario's with power, pellet weights.. velosity, fp's power etc etc.. fill in relavents like scope heights power etc..pellet weights.(the weights on the program are pap, the fluffybucks pellet weights are good..). there is help file, just follow the guides if it gets to you. i've heard so many people say zero at 10 yards, you'll be on at 30 yards with aiming the cross hair low between the two, but seems everyones on dots, mill dots, ladder rests etc, besides, the ten yard zero sucks at 30.. one foot out or one of the how ever many clicks verticle that your still on at 10 yards means your 30 yard is somewhere between 28 and 40 in extreme case... (unless you know 'exsactly' where the ten yard and click zero is). idealy you'll be working in inchs' or cm's hold under hold over.. but.. with a mildot set up you could literaly be on five yard half steps on a dot if only you'd realised... not often but it can happen..(with most scopes change your mag to suit remember). side note...before the first zero varies a bit, as in the 0-10 odd yards, the rest does tally up in the feild usualy, if not theres a variable slightly out, however, i am now confident enough to use the zero range from chairgun.. at worst it's a couple of clicks out, but, saves a few hours piddling about trying out diferent yardage zero's.(the rest is a guide line that puts you damn near to..not forgetting every gun is different so's the pellets). heres what i had running couple years back, had one hell of a summer on it, out to the 60 yard mark.. heres one for a barrel mounted laser, i actualy paced the yards, put a torch on the floor, attached the laser, then whilste looking through the scope just set the laser to where on the ret chairgun predicted..no shots fired.. head shotting rats for three months from the hip.. worked well for me. the MDRF thing lets you suss your scope ret and mag, most scopes are to with in a spec range, so slight diferences occur, e.g. 5 mag is 5.6 mag etc, or your dot pattern may be slightly out etc.. mark up a card, measure a distance and check it.. everything is worked on maths.. the rest is how close to the maths you can get, so.. have fun hope it helps. Jef66 0
Lovely Idea..... right up to the point their website tried to install an adware generator Trojan to my PC and set off all my antivirus !!! MDRF setup contains this piece of software --->> Win32:Adware-gen [Adw] This little puppy generates popup adverts on your system, also it is capable of stealthing itself and reinstalling.... in short its a fecking pain in the arse to remove once you have it. CHAIRGUN 2 is NOT infected only MDRF setup.exe --- both pellet database files are clean too. Just make sure you DONT download the MDRF setup guys EDIT -- GRRRRR looks like there are other files loaded with this bloody adware generator virus on the chairgun software list. MDRFsetup RealWorldPOI and Fillcalc_setup.exe DONT DOWNLOAD ANY OF THESE PROGRAMS [unless you like ad popups and challenging antivirus work ] Quote Link to post

Agreed Internet Explorer is the biggest over bloated pile of S**T software on the market. I use Opera and Firefox for browsing and I've never looked back. Internet Explorer on my computer is completely redundant and never used. Firefox is brilliant but the fastest browser on the planet is Opera. I've timed both and all other browsers against Opera and nothing comes close.... Quote Link to post
Jef66 0
Tweak Firefox a little and it comes close to, or possibly faster than Opera TL. ===>> YOU TUBE TUTORIAL ON SPEEDING FIREFOX 3 UP A LOT <<=== Quote Link to post

ghillies 209
got this email earlier from the chairgun guy.. got a bit side tracked with a grafix card...dont yu just luv setting them up.. ''I've just downloaded MDRF_Setup.exe from the website and it gets a clean report from both Norton and AVG. The checksum of the downloaded file is also indentical to the master file on this machine. MDRF gets downloaded about 400 times per month but I've never had this problem reported before - if there was an infestation problem then I'm sure I'd have heard before now. There's nothing on the website that would/could install code other than that specifically downloaded ... but thanks for the heads-up, I'll delete and reinstall the entire website just be sure.'' Jef66 0
Avast AV pinged all three of the files I listed in my post. Good to see the guy has gone to effort to investigate and fix it tho. I'll donate a bit to the program once i get a little cash thro Looking at the left hand virus warning... it's possible a 3rd party site is injecting the virus.... Quote Link to post
