Guest bigredbusa
ignore the stupid answer above , if it is going to get you out in the field then yes do as your mum asks . best way to find local clubs would be to pop in to your local gun shop and ask them.also it may be worth asking for SACS insurance for a xmas present as this will hopefully let your mum see that you are being serious about and responable about shooting . good luck is mine the answere classed as stupid? i dont think it is as some parents wont change thier mind after saying no. no not you but the one above of the silly little pisstake comment by badoosh Quote Link to post
masmiffy 82
Some sound advice from most here. One thing crossed my mind, you age! Just bear in mind the law regarding age and air weapons, dont risk anything it will haunt you forever! Oh and the old poem A FATHER'S ADVICE TO HIS SON If a sportsman true you'd be Listen carefully to me. . . Never, never let your gun Pointed be at anyone. That it may unloaded be Matters not the least to me. When a hedge or fence you cross Though of time it cause a loss From your gun the cartridge take For the greater safety's sake. If twixt you and neighboring gun Bird shall fly or beast may run Let this maxim ere be thine "Follow not across the line." Stops and beaters oft unseen Lurk behind some leafy screen. Calm and steady always be "Never shoot where you can't see." You may kill or you may miss But at all times think this: "All the pheasants ever bred Won't repay for one man dead." droid 11
lol @ brb......can't say right for saying wrong, eh. Bit like me on Ferrets Foeum......just happened to mention someone had 40+ ferrets and this is their new sig: 'Feed Ferrets meat, especially Human Males who taste like Kebab meat plus we have far too many so who will miss a few?' Bet you can't guess who that was...... On a serious note, some good advice here, especially about getting insurance, and Liam's suggestion about housework. If you join a club, it might be worth finding out if you can keep your gun on their premises. Your mum might be happier if you didn't have it at home. Then when you've proved you are responsible with it....... Quote Link to post
