socks 32,253
we had our first proper day last week as the weather finally cooled down enough for a bit of proper ferreting ...... we had a few of this years youngsters to try out and the oldies were out to show them the ropes and we were not dissapointed as the young team worked vey well ... the youing jill is going to be good strong worker as she held two strong healthy rabbits at the entrance to the burrow stopping them from bolting untill we reached in and extracted them ....... tegan and jock well and truley shook off summers cobwebs and we had a good morning's sport before the sun got up and it became to hot to carry on ......... it was a good tally of 36 rabbits as we didnt start until around 08.30 and we were finished by 12.00 ........ A MISTY START TO THE DAY .............. IT WASNT LONG BEFORE THE ACTION STARTED AND RABBITS WERE HITTING THE NETS .......... WE BOLTED A FEW FOR THE DOGS ... BUT THEY DIDNT GET FAR ......... AND AS USUAL TEGAN GIVES UP HER CATCH FOR JOCK TO RETRIEVE ......... THE END OF THE DAY ............ Quote Link to post
