does any one know were to shoot geese in ripon north yorkshire a friend goes down there a couple of times a year near the race course shooting geese costs him £30 but he wont tell me were it is

There is a big lake in the middle of the race course, but I would'nt have thought that would it. It's open for water sports and fishing most of the year.

It could be on the river, or just some random farmer he knows.

 

Lots of canadas over me yesterday, coming from Catterick Village area towards Masham. Most too high for a shot or fly over when the gun was in the truck.

If you find out let me know. Lots of geese round there, Nosterfield there are huge amounts, Lightwater Valley loads, Im only 20 mins away and had 50 odd greylag over me this morning. There have been a couple of thousand knocking round over the last few months but only managed one greylag.
