artic 595
Has anyone come across this problem? Its a right pain in the arse, removing the mag then a quick tap to raise the bullet into possition again. I even brought a new mag, but within 200 rounds fired IT began to jam too!!! masmiffy 82
Its a common fault mate the one I use does the same! Usually a good clean will sort them out. Think its due to the wax coating on subs mostly. Quote Link to post

Yokel Matt 918
This is one of the main issues i had with my 10/22, I fooking hate the mags They can be stripped and cleaned but its a bit of a faff and putting them back together is a right fiddley b*****d of a job. One of the old boys at the rifle club reccons submerging them in white sprit and tapping them every now and again. There is an allen key part of the mag box that can be adjusted dictate the stiffness on the rotary mag but if you have it too slack the plate holding the box together begins to come away and the damn thing doesn't fit in the mag housing of the rifle. If we're just talking about the mag then my problem is the same as yours... you'll probably find the 'taps' will get harder and harder until the turn into more frequent 'wacks'!! I know a lot of people who have a great deal of respect for this rifle and never experiance jams or mag issues... accuracy wise i never had a problem with mine but its cycling reliability using subs was pants from my experiance and was one of the main reason a chopped mine in for a bolt action. Hope you can get it sorted mate. Quote Link to post

Did think about taking the mag apart, but i wont bother now. Im using Elly Subs, did use winchester for a while but i couldnt get on with them. Common problem then. I've had the rifle for 6 years, and changed 2 mags for this problem. Edited October 20, 2008 by artic Quote Link to post
