i hear alot of the greyhound crosses with collie make up, but id lik to hear or see of just whippit colli crosses and there working ability! does anyone own one or seen them work? pictures welcome

i used to have one, great little dog, ok if you get a racy type, to much collie tend to open up [bark, whine] when chasing.

very intelligent and easy to train, and very active.

ive got a whippet/colliexgrey,14 month now and coming on great,shockingly clever,very fast,and a great companion,picks up the rabbits on the lamp.ive had her on rats, retrieving shot squirrels and she has now been joining me and my newly accuired ferrets,

i find you need a half cross not a firstcross the collie build is to heavy for the whippet build to carry on a first cross you end up with a lot off waste in the litter

i agree with you, mine was first cross but racy, the rest of the litter were heaver and struggled.

lucky with mine. good little dog, not with me any more.

just got meself a collie/greyxwhippet, shes 14wks, what a little cracker, wanted her for just bunnys and i think she, do that job ok, shes bred from workers who do other things in eire, all i have to do is channel that in the right direction, for her age shes pretty clued up and is already giving the elders a life, but most importantly the wife likes her, some good pics of others on here nice to see. you cant beat them little bunnybusters.
