Guest greengrass123
ITS A FACT THAT ALL OF US ON THIS SITE OWN THE BEST WORKING DOGS IN THE UK. NOW LETS HAVE THE TRUTH IS THERE ANY THING ABOUT YOUR DOG THAT SOMETIMES PISSES YOU OFF. MINE CAN BE A HEADSTRONG b*****d AT TIMES, IT GOES DEAF WHEN IM TRYING TO GET IT IN THE CAR AFTER A DAY OUT. DOES LIKE TO HUNT UP SOMETIMES IF ITS A FAIRLY LIGHT NIGHT. OTHER THAN THAT IM HAPPY AS A PIG IN SHIT WITH HER. HOW ABOUT YOU. Quote Link to post
Guest ASD
Got a youngster of 14 months at the moment looks like being an absolute machine BUT i need to iron out a couple of little problems if she's to reach those heights, her retrieve is instant BUT she has an annoying habit of dropping the buggers at my feet fully alive and if they run she will NOT chase that particular rabbit again, out of say 20 she'll do it 3/4 times,it's annoying but we'll see what happens and also she is prone to going deaf if she misses a bunny, once again perhaps just once or twice during the night, she doesn't hunt up she'll just stand looking in the direction the bunny escaped and she'll do this for perhaps a minute before returning,if we can sort those out then i'll be one happy chap Cheers Andy. chester 147
ware do i start taz has selective hearing wont retrive is a bit shy with the gub at times on brown hares will kill them out of site and leave them 2 or 3 times have came across hares he has killed on the way back and had him as blanked. on rabbits too soft mouthed but will bring them round about you then puts them down and have to catch them again. on fox on his own a bit of a pussy but if another dug is on as well he is a demon evan if the other dog aint fussed about getting stuck in he will do the job .on the plus side has a very good catch rait and good eye sight and will chase out that gets up will work all day or night and has plenty of lung for the long haul lets out a yip back and forth if he aint bin run wich is the worst fault of them all for me . . solo has a bit of selective hearing. bit soft on quary and retriving is poor. on big game she will struggel fox will be messy dew to her size. on the plus side has a very good catch rait and game for out that gets up hope to get her lungs tested over the season but the way things are going she wont need them up at them bang and its in the bag can sit tight as feck and if a chance of a strike is on she will take it without any hesitation.as long as she kills hares i aint fussed . have never saw a dog yet that ain't got faults anyone that runs dogs and says his/hers hound aint got any faults is a fecking liar if you look for faults you will find them. you live with them or you dont. . be truthfull about the dog and enjoy your sport too meny wankers in the dog game full of shite:drink: chester all pre ban of course Edited October 19, 2008 by chester Quote Link to post

Guest lurcherboy2008
every dog has their own little problems, if we go to a place which is shit (like last week trying out a new farm) and theres hardly any rabbits [bANNED TEXT] i slip if my bitch misses she'll hunt up. if she catches shell kill the rabbit where she caught it and drop it then come back to me, on the other hand if its plenty of rabbits about maybe on the 1st run if she misses she will hunt up, but after that shes spot on and maybe the 1st and 2nd rabbit is caught killed and dropped on the spot but after that they all back to hand live Quote Link to post
