diggerman 0
Having never had nor know anyone who has the bull x greyhounds, what is the best age for bringing them onto game? Are they late developers like suluki x or more mature at a younger age due to the bull blood? Quote Link to post
downsouth 7,356
If anything the bull blood will make them mature slower. Quote Link to post
Guest DogFaceKillah
at 9 and half months i find my pup very mature, my other dog was a late developer, im starting him up this next month for work, hes been out on lamp ran a few bunnies and has picked a cuple up, but mainly been on the lead and watching the older dog, i think all depends on dog and thier mind set and breeding, ive spent alot of time with mine, i think as ive but time into him and quenched his thirst for curiosity it has steady him up pretty quick! stormrider8 59
Good question, also wondered that myself. I have one that seems to be takin an age to mature in certain ways. But have seen others work younger and doin stuff that alot of dogs wont do in a life time. Quote Link to post
diggerman 0
If anything the bull blood will make them mature slower. Do you mean physically mature late like bulls (up to 2yrs), or mentally late developers.? What do you pay most importance too, physically or mentally developed when bringing a pup on? For me the pup would need to be both physically and mentally ready. The softly, softly approach. Just seems to me that theres alot of people on here letting their pups go on rabbits at an age I would never dream of doing. I can see alot of dogs being ruined imo Quote Link to post

diggerman 0
See I would have said 7 months was way too young, but thats my opinion. I would rather put the early months of a lurchers life into obedience training making sure the pup was 100% sound at fetching, coming back, standing, jumping ect ect ect. Seen it loads of times disobedient dogs running a mock in the fields and their owners getting very angry, but to me the owner is to blame. Also seen them bark when turning caused by frustration by being brought on too young. Not saying whats right or wrong just trying to get as many honest opinions from people, whilst having a good debate. Quote Link to post
