undisputed 1,664
My dogs are out regular for long walks the bitch hasn't been pushed too hard yet but running wise not an issue so far I run mine on all sorts of quarry very often in the same night. That said I havn't access yet to the amount of rabbits some of the lads down south have so its hard to say how she would cope with 50 + runs but I reackon that would tax any dog. Quote Link to post
Guest world.hunters
i have had no problems with stamina out of my dog at all. when he was younger and i was living up yorskhire way there was alot of hares and first night on them he reteived 4 out f 4 all long retireves and almost straight after another and wanted more but i didnt want to over do it with him at that age. Guest ASD
I've seen some very good dogs at work over the years but i still say to this day the best of the lot was a 3/4 grey/collie called Nipper ,i've seen dogs have more staying power, catch bigger hauls but for all round graft this fella took some beating. He killed EVERYTHING,retrieved like a gundog, worked with ferrets/terriers,hunted up,lamped as good as any dog.He was one of those dogs you'd love to own,i wish i did,he was my mates dog and was bought for £20 off HBG many a year ago.He took hares during the day,not due to his speed but more his cunning,a cleverer dog would be hard to find.If all 3/4 grey/collie's were like him i'd have nothing but! He's the black & white dog in the pic below.Cheers Andy. Quote Link to post

Guest dotty
here's one. i don't know who it is out of or any of that. his stamina is shit, to be honest. his brain is good his running style is cunning but over determinded. he hit a fence the other night a full pelt, has hit many walls etc... his agility is pritty poor but make up for it by reading the quarry. but his balls are HUGE (literatly as well) Quote Link to post
