netrigger 568
This is a Trammel net that i rigged up Today,, nothing special in the hand made department but it it shows in my opinion what a Trammel is all about.... The outer Walls are made of 10" Square Mesh by 3 Meshes Deep,, the inner mesh is 4" full mesh by 15 meshes deep... These days you have your useuall Numpty's I.E. Brinded and jbs(bullshitter nets) Who aint got a clue when it comes to catching Rabbits ,, the above numty's will take your money thats a cert! for a net thats just not up to the job!!!.... This Net has 40" of mesh rigged into the 10" Walls,, Oh and by the way its only 15 meshes deep..... Regards... No doubt Jim Bullshitter (jbs nets) will take this advice on board... Then again that bit of advice will cost him Money... 1 Quote Link to post

Dowen Pest Control Solutions 0
Hello all, i would just like to add to this post, I have played with trammel nets on and off and never had any success with them. I would like to hear other's thoughts on this subject. I have been using 100 yards of quickset trammel nets the pros is touch wood never lost a rabbit out of them but the down side is there heavier to carry and when you set them out they pick up every little bit of debris and if you dont get them out when you collect it back in it gets tangled easy when you run it out. What i have decided is when im out rabbitting for fun i will use the quickset longnets and if im on a paid rabbit job i will use the trammels. Quote Link to post
victor 10
nice net, but what is the go with what looks like fencing wire, i got 2 25 yarders in quick set and have heard the term tramel but it works the same as a long net yeah ? Quote Link to post
