My wife seems to think that saturday evening is not complete without listening to a bunch of talentless wannabes do an impression of a dying cat. Needless to say, I'll not have the crap on in here, so she's relegated to the kitchen to pollute the air in there. I've watched it occasionally in the past (only when I'm in the doghouse for something else), and often wonder why the friends and relatives of these wannabes haven't told them that they have no prospect of being quality performers. Why can't these people be honest about it and save 'em the embarrasment? I can imagine the scene now.... little kylie (or whatever) proudly gets up and sings something badly, and her audience all clap and proudly exclaim 'wonderful!', excusing the little white lie because 'at least she had the nerve to get up and do it'. Just imagine if someone had been honest, and told the little mite that she was tone deaf and couldn't sing to save her life. Instead of spending all her life dreaming of stardom, she could have learnt how to do something useful....... Is it me? Feel free to tell me I'm grumpy.............. There are one or two ( without naming names and telling you who im pineing for ) which are ok and i do belive will improve. However will i go and buy their album or x mass single is very debateable.
