red deer in town !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

well i got a phone late one evening for a lad off here to say he is looking over a wall at a red stag 20 yards from him, i was thinking he was stalking :whistling: , till he inform me that the stag he seen was just out side his town, so today me and my two lads jumped into the jeep and went down to see could i see him as we got into the town where the lad lives right there lying down 20 yards from the road the red stag happy out, not a bother in him, i stopped up and walk into the field right up to him he just got up walked around looking at me i took a few picture then came out to the road where is just walk back towards me and and layed back down, no one knows where he came from only being seen for the last week or so, there is no deer in the part of the county, but there was a sighting of a stag year on the other side of this town , but if true we never know,

hope this lad is not shot as i chatted to the farmer today and he said he doing no harm, still he is nice to see there,

just said i put this up here to see what ye think

maybe he has wondered off after the rut to get a patch of his own, he's a fine animal hope they get time to breed, reds are known to roam, whereas fallow and sika tend to stay close to the area they where born in........
