richie 1
hi... ive been thinking that i will put some more money into a camera as i will make good use of it.., ive decided to go for the canon 40D, but im in 2 minds with what lense im going to get.... either an 18-200 or the 55-200 rich The 18-200 is a decent "all rounder" especially for wildlife. I went for the Sigma lens to take out on hunting days ( less expensive than the canon version ) also on the canon 40d you do not really want to be changing lenses all the time as dirt on the sensor is a tw@t. It has a sensor cleaning cycle on start up and close down. If your using the 40d in the field I would also carry some eclipse fluid and swabs. Good choice overall and I am sure you will see some great results. The camera is quite easy to use. If you can invest in a battery grip or spare batteries. Thanks i bought the 40D today with 2 lenses.... canon EFS 17-85mm & the canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM. well happy with the package, just have to get started using it now & get use to all the functions... Nice one mate. Do not be scared to use the Manual mode. You will be surprised at the results. If you need a hand or get a bit stuck give me a shout bud. Or just send a PM.
