mad al 146
Well I ain't been out in any serious way shape or form as of late, but I tried all the shades and finally settled on green and then I remembered the nights out with my Dad, freezin, holdin the lamp with no feckin filter I only wish that I could catch as much these days as they did in them days with next to nowt Quote Link to post
Penda 3,341
Iv used every filter and theres no doubt by far the red is the best when i was a youth the first thing i got told was get urself a red filter its the only way to lamp Quote Link to post
mickel 0
Don't use one unless we've got a fox thats been lamped before He'll be gone like a shot, but slip on the red filter and it usually gets him to stand just long enough. Orange filter works well too but you can scan a field so much quicker without one. Mickel. Quote Link to post
amroth29 0
ive just started lamping again after a few years off and i always used a red filter , but now i find it a pain in the arse taking the thing on and off the lamp plus my eyes are a few years older and i cant seem to see any thing with it on , after reading this i realise the problem is not the filter its me .
