hemp or nylon

jst thought id pop a discusion dat me and my frnd wer having..what are the advantages/disadvantages of nylon purse nets over hemp or visa versa?iv got all nylon nets and generaly dont have any problems with them and im probly sticking to them as they dont rot and are a fair bit cheaper.my friend wouldnt be cought dead with nylons,he h8s them,recons rabbits will run straight thru them..i think hes over exadurating big time.ny opinions?

if your happy with the ones you use then good on ya,everybodys got there own

preferance, mine is rayon string very nice to knit with and doesnt kink or twist or get to stuck in bramble.

what ever puts the rabbit in the bag for you is ok ........

Use hemp nets myself. hang them up after use to dry off nad they last for years

ive never used hemp, have tryed to make my own with hemp but i jsut cantr lol, ive been showed soooo manny ways but i just cant do it. so i just buy them nylon is the onl way i can go

Hemp nets are fine, both will catch rabbits but the downside is you need to put some care in with hemp nets and after a days ferreting most folk cant be bothered and then the next time they go to use them they have rotted

Most people I know have said hemp. If you can afford it I think either hemp or spun nylon is the dogs bollox. It may be spun polyester im not sure???

I like 4ft 6z nylon, cheap, indestructable and snags rabbits like nothing else. I've had them caught on the toe on a few occasions. I do like my spun nylon nets, but they dont catch me any more rabbits and at £3 a net they are abit pricey.

Home made Hemp nets for me every the time I know it's been said before but it's right Look after them and they will look after you.

Wouldn't have them horrible tangly nylon things as a gift
