Guest JohnGalway
I do, and yes First one I got was a Nikon Prostaff 440 Laser rangefinder. Worked fine in daytime, ranged accurately. At night or in low light it wasn't great though, the glass wasn't bright so more often than not I'd need to range say a rock or tree near to what I wanted to shoot. The display wasn't lit either so I needed to read it lamplight. That said it gave me good service while I had it. The one I have now I got on Ebay from a seller named Scopestop based in the USA. It's a Leica CRF 900 and it's fantastic The glass is really bright, the display is lit so I can read it easily at night, ranges very accurately out past 900 yards, also ranges 100% reliably. I would regard Leica as one of the top two names in Rangefinders A rangefinder makes life easier for me anyway. Whether I'm walk about lamping or ambushing corvids with the rifle in daylight it's quick and easy to find distances and plan my shots accordingly. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
who uses a rangefinder and is it worth using one? regards, jack Right ..if you have £100++++ to spare then yes, yes, yes....and don't be fooled into thinking they are only any use for long range centrefire...they can be very useful for rimfire (especially subs) and air rifle. Now then...I don't have one, and I can't be bothered to carry one around either, but my shooting buddies often do have them, and carry them, and use them, which I find VERY helpful...if only to confirm my stride is still very close to a yard and I can range by eye accurately enough...but I have had a lot of practice!! Mr_Logic 5
I find my Bushnell one very handy indeed. Much quicker than pacing things out, and more accurate to boot. Quote Link to post
fastrac10 0
I find my Bushnell one very handy indeed. Much quicker than pacing things out, and more accurate to boot. What sort of Bushnell is it? Is it worth looking for these secondhand or do they break and stop working after a while? Many thanks Fastrac10 Quote Link to post

Many thanks Fastrac10 Sorry it took me a while, I have the Yardage Pro Scout, it wasn't much but works reasonably well. I'd get a new one, they're not that well made. Quote Link to post
