Took Duke out for his first wee foray into the dark earlier tonight. He ran well and I was more than pleased with him for a first timer He took 8 from 12 runs, and showed himself to be keen, with a good strike and he carried them all back to hand, and also came straight back on the runs where he missed. He hangs onto the rabbit until told to leave just like his mum which is also great, I like a lamp dog to do that so spot on The only downside was his jumping, non existant but thats something we shall have to work on

 

I found myself thinking of my newfoundfriend Mark as I stopped to gut the rabbits, and thinking about him made me come over all warm and tingly the feeling seemed to be concerntrated in one particular area . . . . . . . . . . .

 

. . . . . and then I realised I was standing over a f*****g patch of nettles but it was a good wee walk out all the same, cant wait to get the dog properly fit and see what hes really capable of
