New Falconry Law

Hi All,

 

Just been speaking to a falconer who said there is a law soon coming out regarding tethering birds.

 

Can anyone shed some light on this matter?

just to let ye know we need 2 licences here in ireland one to keep birds and one to fly birds

Its completly miffed me mate! I havn't heard anything but laws change so quick in the sountry these days so something could be happening.

 

The info I have had through the door is the removal of some schedule 4 birds from registration....

The only thing I can find about this is for DEMO birds only when teathered which is you have to fly them at least 4 times a week which seems abit silly in my eyes as IMHO all birds should be flown more time than that a week but I not starting a fight about that each to their own.

ive heard that something was in the pipeline for years, so far nowts happened and if it does ill be sure to go to bristol and go into defra and smack the f*ck out the people responsible. its been ok for thousands of years, how can it be wrong because of few ignorant people not understanding.
