hi all . on my permission i have a hedgerow with a warren that must stretch nearly 100m and there must be way over a hundred holes ! what is going to be the best way of working this . i normally work on my own but i no that is not going to be possible on this one.

ye,iv tried in vain to work a warren like that last year by my self with 1 ferret ha.more out of bordome realy but definatly use 2 or 3 ferrets,some longnets or lots of purse nets and if u can find sum1 with some good lurchers or whipets..bu ur at nothing tackeling that by urself..hope u net plenty outa it nyway :victory:

If i were you id borrow a few friends and thier lurcher. Id put a few longnets and stop nets around and accross the burrie. if you think its worth it lay as many purse nets as you can get hold of and enter about 6-8 ferrets. but be armed with a ferret locator as there will be a fair amount of digging. but if you believe that the catch would be worth it then give it a try, we have a few sets like that down our way and we do exactly that. I found it quite effective

thanks for all the replies , very much appreciated . have been meaning to get myself some longnets for a while , now i have an excuse :clapper: i no theres a fair few rabbits in there , it was riddled with them last year but mixy took hold and most of them died , but i am seeing more and more around the area now. don't no anyone with a lurcher but i'm sure i will when i ask for help doing it !

longnets either side, maybe some stop nets across if possible, get a couple of friends help, or members from here, start at one end and slowly work along
