GIB 0
My uncle's a retired police officer, he says that when he first joined in the early 70's, the police were lazy bstards and spent the night shifts going round the back doors of local pubs , and yet people generally loved the police, thought they did a good job. Nowadays he says that the police work ther arses off, have to put up with shit from every direction, and yet people hate them and think they are fat lazy bstards. You guys seem to expect them to turn a blind eye, but at the end of the day, all police priorities come from the top, and the left wing fkers who are in charge despise us Quote Link to post
dfee 1
i was talking to a friend the other day,he'd been to lincolnshire with the lurchers,as they were coming of the fields they were pulled by the police, who said they'd been coursing hares, they denied it,so he produced some videos of them.he said the copper was ok he did abit himself, the videos were filmed from above, at first he thought helicopter, but either the copper told him or they worked out that they were filmed from the barn owl boxes on the overhead cable posts,i dnt no how true this is as he can be a joker, but he seemed serious,if it is it just goes to show what lenghts they will go to,to get evidence against the coursers. Guest smashygadge
I would just like to add, the Hunting Act is upon us, and still on this site and others people are putting up pictures of their dogs catching hares, deer, fox saying "SHOT AND RETRIEVED" come on yeah right!, its them who are ruining it for others! The chav lurcherman as Lurchergirl stated who dont give toss go out poaching in gangs, driving their vehicles over land, bragging what they did, how they drove on the land, using threatening behaviour what they would do to people if they get caught and how they got away from the cops etc.............Its all this that attracts the police, RSPCA to their homes or area's. So when one states this and debates the problem, people then think your a copper. There are probably loads of police watching this who do hunt and who dont and are on here for whatever reasons. Like i have said before, why bragg, a proffesional poacher remains silient!! i think most the bragging is a bit of sportsman ship between people ,thats what sportsmen like. i dont like or agree with gangs doing it i do it myself alone. and i dont agree with 4x4s driving allover the land scouring for the game or what ever they are doing. also i no too well police hunt and a good few that do also probation officers that enjoy it too , i was once a criminal once but a bit of hunting has changed me for the better. but if we dog men dont all follow suit buy guns and shoot pheasent etc to feed the goverments pockets we aint fitting in.how i see it is the dog against animal is good free sport bar food upkeep of the dog.and the animal often being chased by a dog will see another day fare game. on the other hand you have the landowners with guns breeding pheasents etc for the to fly of to slaughter theirs a bit of money in that for the goverment easy money but i personnaly think that is the most barbaric .and worse than any dog running a hare fox deer or rabbit.all ofwhich dont get any chance against a gun and if they do normally a bad shot and left to suffer for day or 2 until it final day . Corkonian 44
POP's less of the "YOU" like i said above. And its your behaviour that breeds behaviour on these sites. Enough members on here know who i am, thats not a police officer for one, but a genuine man, who helps others in this society. As for the hunting, well my family are land owners here in England and we hunt all year round and are passionate with what we do. With the pic of Mussolini under your name and your stance on this topic - can't blame people for getting the wrong impression of you in fairness Quote Link to post
Paul in North Lincs 15
Why all the brash comments about we would and wouldnt do???....................that isnt the is topic or argument and only serves to fuel to general ideal that everyone that shines a lamp in the dark is a knob, criminal and thug. Like I said previously, if you flaut the law......you will get punished I think it would be better if we sent a more diplomatic responce the the critisim and we face within the sport - and with public opinion - - - and not add fuel to the 'already raging' fire. Jim Grant 4
It is not confined to England, Grampian Police put a notice into the local press stating that they were going to clamp down on Poaching. The real scunner was the language used by the Officer in change on the Unit. " Coursing is a BARBARIC SPORT". How PC is that , but then perhaps that is why he is in charge of the unit. Guest world.hunters
These type of programs piss me off because everytime they talk about people out with there dogs they come up will bull shit about "these people are very violent people and usually involved in drugs and dog fighting also". never telling the truth or the full law so people sitting at home watching these programs have the impression that you cannot work a lurcher full stop. its about time we seen programs that are pro hunting and talk about the tradition of this country and hunting in the right way, and its about time these pigs f**k off and do somethink usefull for a change instead of harrising people for catching a couple rabbits. w.h Quote Link to post
mackem 26,640
Those days are long gone frank, nowadays we rank alongside street-robbers and violent criminals as Public enemy numero uno,Joe Public happily sits and watches Bear Grylls bite a head from a still living snake for dramatic effect, but would complain to the broadcasting standards commission in droves at a terrier legitimately working a fox,or a lurcher chasing cute bunnies, the public in general arent sympathetic to us I am afraid Quote Link to post
