Eating kills normal?

Recommended Posts

I dont know if any of you lads have this problem, my EBT x Whippet bitch is catching fur and feather well, she used to bring them back to hand, but now eats them virtually alive. This month so far, 2 rabbits, a rat, a Pheasant and 3 partridges. She is fed well and never hungry, wormed regular and well fit and exercised. Ive never had any problems with any of my past dogs, but she has always been a bit of a psycho. I am relying on her for catching ferret grub. Its really starting to p*ss me off, ive tried everything. Has anyone any ideas?

Ive attached some pictures (hope they come through).

I've a few mates who own EBT and I know a few breeders they are notoriously bad for eating their pups not just once but every litter, was talking to a well known breeder just this week and he told me he split the bitch and pups when they were born puting them back to the bitch every couple of hours (supervised) for a feed. Best of luck solving your problem mate, got to say I don't hold a lot of hope.

has your bitch been in season recently, i use to have a bitch that did the same , but she suddenley started when she came into pup

Shes due in season this month, i think maybe its a bad habit im going to have to put up with, she also eats her own shit too and quite partial to horse shit aswell, cant fault her hunting ability.
