Dan_Jones 7
Give her little chunks of meat like rabbit or chicken wings ... she should be fine after a little bit keep her water there ... 1 of my jills stopped eating when i first got her soo i cracked an egg into a jug along with a little bit of milk and water then mixed it up for 5 mins and put it into a bowl for her .. its not to good with her but will fill her with proteins and all the other goodys .. should cheer her up Good luck Quote Link to post
justin 2
get some babys milk powder and add it to the water... just like lactol and will help build your little worker up...ps... then when all is well with the jill, seek your brother and warm his ears... Quote Link to post
stubby 175
I'd not try the cats milk/lactol, as this may give her the shits, keep syringing the water, and prehaps mince some meat for her Quote Link to post

Jef66 0
we got an old jill with insulinoma that is very hard to feed, oddly enuff she is quite happy to lap up stage 1 baby food, the stuff in the little jars. have a looky at the ingredients first make sure theres not tons of salt or sugar in in. HIPP organic are pretty good. all the best, hope she picks up mate Quote Link to post
bhawk 64
rabbit liver should help, all the goodness in it should give the poor mite a boost Quote Link to post

sam3009 4
ferrets are lactose intolerant mate, so steer clear of milk. Plenty water, minced meat and the odd egg wont hurt. atb K Quote Link to post
lorelei0922 2
stop by your local pet store and look for that vitamin paste usually even poorly ferrets will take it... if so it could add a bit of a boost for her.. good luck!! if you can get her to lap water.. try liquidizing some raw rabbit in with a bit of that baby food... add a lil extra water to make a soupy mixture... murraywatt 0
lorelei the soupy mix sounds like a plan iv just put some in with her warmed it up a tad so hopefully itl fill her up maybe give her a boost, the water must be hitting the spot though shes getting a bit more life back now and shes starting to turn it away after a few syringe fulls shes in with 2 others so at least shes gona be able to stay warm the otheres are huddling round her caught up with my brother now aswell warmed more than his ears Quote Link to post
shortshot 0
You gotta laugh at some of the advice from the organic, lactose intolerant townies. Bread and milk has been the staple diet of many ferrets for hundreds of years.....now we hear people suggesting they must watch their sugar and salt levels. b*****ks they're ferrets not a vegan hippy couples only child.
