dehoffmeister 2 Posted October 13, 2008 Report Share Posted October 13, 2008 had a savage weekend,,,, was out with foxhound pack sat first ditch cold marked a handy looking earth... dug to hunt terrier working the GAME well let it off we were just backfilling when we got phone call hounds were marking to ground after a short hunt, we slipped in "dinny" and after about an hour he eventully settled at one spot. we got down to find him having a leg hold of the biggest fox i have ever seen his head showed for a nice shot with the pistol and hounds got their reward. i have a pic on my phone and i will try and get it up loaded onto here... sunday saw me out wit my harrier pack hunted first fox to ground into a 2 holer.. slipped in a lakie i have on trial got the job done but i dont like barking terriers went 2 fields up and hounds marked another to ground now it was "maggies" turn... it was a boggy ditch and seriously tight... she eventully settled.. one of the lads put the bar through and said she is just panting... i smiled we dug down to find her just barly having hold of the foxs back leg... foxy was shot and hounds again got their reward lets hope every weekend is as good.....
