Guest lurcherboy2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Report Share Posted October 13, 2008 i know that down in somerset and devon there use to be a good few lads breeding big 30 odd inch deerhounds for them that could pull them single, 2 of my mates round here had pups from somerset the 1 big black dog is about 32 inches and the red bitch is about 29 inches and both parents of the black dog use to pull them single pre ban and i know the parents of the red bitch pulled them double pre ban i dont know what they were like on they own but i know definetly doubled theyd done it Quote Link to post

adskibullus 0 Posted October 13, 2008 Report Share Posted October 13, 2008 ive seen a mastiff cross greyhound take down a medium sized horse so surley it would probably stand a good chance on a deer. but also ive herd of these stag hounds in australia which will take deer, wild boar, rabbits, dingos and also catch wild goats by dragging them around by there ears. and apparently staghounds are greyhounds x deerhounds.
