MORE FOXES

Recommended Posts

Me and David were out again last nite looking for old reynard. I decided to start on part of the ground which hasnt proved too successful to date , but tonight was different :victory:

We lamped 3 stubble fields which had been covered in slurry , spied the tell tale orange eyes in the 1st stubble , quite a way off so we stalked in a bit closer and David took the first fox of the night at around 180 yds.........

We continued to the next stubble where I spotted another , this time David hit it , but it started squealing and managed to disappear into a gorse covered dyke , unfortunataely we coulndt find it :censored:

Next stubble I lamped another , again along way off , I gave it a squeak and it came in very cautiously to around 200 yds , in fine style again David dropped this one. So that was 3 foxes in 3 fields , although we only picked 2 :censored:

I then decided to try another part of the ground which hasnt been lamped , spotted a fox in another stubble , David got himself steady on a bale at an easy shot at around 70 yds , CLICK went the trigger , no round in chamber .What a very lucky fox as it sharp departed never to be seen again.

We then lamped some grass fields where on looking over a dry stone wall spotted 2 foxes in the same field, the 1st one was just mooching and didnt even look at the lamp , David knocked him over , the 2nd fox only ran to the nearest fence only to be called back in by me to around 60 yds , a right and left :clapper:
