mark.a 0
Hi just thought i would post this topic to see if anyone else has experience or knows anything about this ailment. My three year old saluki greyhound/ whippet dog is having trouble with its back legs . It does not show when walking on the lead but any thing faster his back end seems to go underneath him and he drags his back legs about, also he sometimes has trouble cocking his leg. Its strange as he does not show signs of been in pain at all. I took him to the vet a few weeks ago and he told me to bring him back in a few weeks as he was in no pain, and see if he is any better which he is,nt. I am taking him back to the vets next week. Any one had problems like this or no anything about it? Cheers
skycat 6,174
That definitely sounds like some sort of nerve damage and as for being told to wait a few weeks! Why? I'd get him to a good Greyhound vet ASAP: the number of times I have said this to people is unbelievable. Surely if there is something obviously wrong with a dog then it should see a specialist: not be told to wait a few weeks! If you were me then I'd get my vet to refer me to a nerve specialist immediately.
