Guest SJM
Good bag there I was on that bit during the week and got 12 and 2 rabbits that might be whats shifting them on? Theres a really haggy bit at the top thats full of them, but its bad running for an adult dog never mind a pup. Once this weather changes they will go white, thats when the real fun begins cos you can spot them trying to hide and the dogs can spot them from a good distance away as well Quote Link to post

scothunter 12,609
Im not sure about Billy Snr? but young Billy trains gundogs full time now They certainly know how to train dogs thats for sure.Old billy was an ok guy.His son on the other hand was not. Sadly the only decent keepr on that estate was old Tam murray (now gone to that estate in the sky). Many a drunken night i spent in the hopetoun wi him.I still laugh when he found he was famous in the centre pages of the daily mirror.lol Quote Link to post

Guest SJM
I get on fine with him now, hes allways friendly and will stop for a chat say hello etc At the end of the day they have a job to do and if we were in their shoes we probably wouldnt like someone tramping all over our ground slaughtering everything that moves? When it was the London march the keepers and poachers stood shoulder to shoulder and that is really all that matters in my book Quote Link to post
