i gave my dog a run on friday he pulled up ,he never went down or hit anything

he just went down out of breath which i found funny as he would normally go all night.

now he is having trouble getting up and down lot of whining at night ,seems a back end problem

and seems very tight across his back muscles.iam thinking he has pulled them but was wondering if anyone had had any similar problem.i have never had a problem with the dog in the past and im rather concerned.anything i could be using for muscles anti inflamitorys any advise apprieciated

The 'bruising' as you call it is probably inflammation around a torn muscle: will take at least 6 weeks to heal. You're doing the right thing by massaging him: just do it gently for a couple of weeks to begin with: every day with a good embrocation. Best of luck in his recovery.
