I'd love to go digging with a terrier but i'm 50 years old and a woman and i don't have the strength or stamina for that kind of work.

But I do love terriers and want one in my household so I've got myself a pup this year for ratting and bushing.

Work/sport/hunting, they're just words, but I bitterly regret being too old (and the wrong sex) to own at least one bloody good earth dog before I'm underground myself.

just new on this thought a would put in ma opinion on this .a would not keep a terrier if it would not go to ground to be dug to.i have had them for ten years and always had 2 or 3 but have just 1 pup a bred off a nice bitch hes 16 month and already had 4 with him dug to twice n gettin keener at the sharp end . a would not keep 1 if it didnt work .
