romanipoacher 0 Posted October 12, 2008 Report Share Posted October 12, 2008 hello there, i went out lamping lastnight i have an air arms s410 with an ags sapphire milldot scope i got this scope with the gun,but from lastnights performance i am not happey with it, i could not see jack! and pointless putting a fillter on. I use one of these SCOPES as they are excellent for lamping, top notch build quality and very solid..... Quote Link to post

Or do you mean when the light got low , the performance of the scope was poor??? i went out lamping it all depends on what you want to do?? if your using somthing like a logan gun lamp you wont see anything past 40 yards if your using a light force you will see much further....more expensive scopes do gather more light but lamping with a rifle takes time to learn...if your used to shooting in the day its completely diferent.....i use a x5 torch and green laser for shooting rats in buildings and a big light force for shooting fox out to 400yards with my 22-250...i guess if you want a more in depth answer you need to say what lamp and what you intend to shoot..i wouldnt bin your scope just yet...
