mackem 26,586
For a beginner they are all much-of-a-muchness,its only when the bug bites and you become addicted that your probably going to want a panel-net or hand-made super-spreader,we havent got a massive choice in this country, hobsons choice actually, theres plenty of the bay,and all will catch, but the price here is extortionate http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trk...;_nkw=cast+nets Quote Link to post

mackem 26,586
Yup,far, far cheaper abroad,Asia decent nets are less than a tenner Quote Link to post
mackem 26,586
anyone ever tried netting these ? i know its a certain time of the year and they always show it as hard work is it just up north the run comes in ? Hiya bigred... its not just down south! And its not just in the north pal. There are bigger runs depending on the river. Some are more equipped for them than others....They are now realizing this, and building running ladders and better access in certain rivers.... Why don't use build brigdes instead , No mate tell us more a step up in the right direction no pun intended Sure Nelson, sorry, what did you want to know?? I was knocking bridges down. I was just answering the question...... p.s mackem, the ribble is doing some real good gay fish you were talking about... upper reaches near ribchester. cheers That fish is a beauty,I have one at the moment grilling with basil, ginger, and a little lemon-grass Quote Link to post

mackem 26,586
Not for less than a tenner Maty, and not single nets, the companies I spoke to were manufacturers who deal in 1000+ units Quote Link to post
maty j 6
Ah, I thought If I could get a few who wanted one I'll be able to get a bulk order In but I think 1K orders is a bit ambitious Quote Link to post
mackem 26,586
Cast around you might be able to pick them up,in tens or 100 multiples, but not at what I would class as an affordable or acceptable price once your freight is added, they aint light Quote Link to post
maty j 6
It was just something I was thinking about If I could get them for a tenner but when I add In post etc It soon mounts up. Anyway, I think I'll have enough fishing gear soon. Quote Link to post
