owenowen1 0
been asked by the farmer to clear some magpies. Get in a hide they won't come in range and been told to put eggs out to lure them in but they won't come in range, like they have range finders and they come close enough to take the p###. Any ideas??

Guest JohnGalway
Got 24 magpies and a hooded crow in my Larsen trap, just on a few acres on my own farm Once I discovered this way of catching them, I don't think I'll be wasting my time shooting them anymore! Trap works 24/7. You just need to ensure that you keep the call bird well fed, well sheltered and that it has fresh water available to it all the time. JohnB on here does a good book with various trap plans, plans are also available on this site and elsewhere on the internet.
