the dog ROB SCOTT had was the litter brother to BLUE and was a brindle dog named NIPPER,i think rodney jackon got a litter mate and a bloke called henry logan also got one, give me half an hour and i,ll try and get some more info,cheers HF

as far as rob scott is aware, rodney jacksons bitch DARKIE was a lurcher of unknown breeding bought of some gypsys, he said vic's NIPPER lined DARKIE to produce vic's BLUE,rob's NIPPER,he wasnt sure exactly how many was in the litter but said rodney jackson(who actually bred the litter)kept the biggest dog and henry logan got a blue dog also called BLUE, so yes there was 2 BLUE'S in the litter, he said that at 16/18mnth his brindle dog NIPPER was killed by his brothers(frank scott) dog(a big saluki x with no brains) apparently it was shoulder barged into a big ditch down silloth way at full tilt and never recovered, and at which point henry logan was getting more into shooting deer so rob swapped a .22rifle for henry's blue dog(blue)

he also went onto say that vic's BLUE wasnt any better than the other litter mates, it was a very good deer dog but wasnt as good as an alrounder as its sire(NIPPER), he also added vic's nipper was the best dog he'd ever seen,

 

i was told by vic himself that NIPPER lined a 1/4deerhound x 3/4greyhound to produce BLUE, and also said the breeding of NIPPER was beddy/whippet x collie/greyhound over a deerhound/greyhound x wheaton/greyhound, but personally i think theres too much hairy blood in that mix up to produce a smooth dog like nipper, so i think i was sucker puched,lol

Just showing a pic of my old dog which is bred out of Blue,but look at the similarities to him and Rip .Rip was his great grandsire but they were almost identical...funny old game this dog game ain't it?.The black bitch is called Gypsy and is also a daughter of Vic's Blue.
