kobidog 1
hi i have a 6 year old male vizsla and he is great at retrieving but he wont retrieve any form of BIRD. We think this may be because we used to have chickens and we would tell him of if chased them. How can i get him to retrieve birds or is he to old? thanks Greg Quote Link to post

eshielsgundogs 0
I would do pretty much the same as Garypco. And add Wings to a dummy, and rabbit fur to another dummy fir. You could even put an old tight round a normal dummy for a while, when your dog has got used to retriving that, take the old tight off and put it over a bird or rabbit. Usually can be achieved over a week or two, patients is the key. Ian Quote Link to post
