alpine 0
Cheers guys... Is there a need to get them castrated/neutered/snip (not sure what is the correct term)!!!! Quote Link to post
Guest jbswildlife
why would you want to. hobs are hobs nothing scary about that. Quote Link to post
mattydski 560
Sorry to disagree with you guys, but i had two Hobs from the same litter, that had to be seperated due to normal seasonal humping etc. It was very violent at times, neither would give in. They had been brought up together since birth, and never sperated until their first season. Bitten necks, bloody ears etc. (sore arse LOL) I also have another Hob that had to be seperated from his brother for the same reason. (Which is why I have him) So it does happen. mattydski 560
kick in the arse for you why do brothers fight I'm guessing that hormonal responses are stronger than family instinct... Not unlike the wife in that respect... Matt Quote Link to post
Guest jbswildlife
i'm not but have ferrets living together all the time their is no problems from a family set unless the ones in question are first born and last born. (nature ) Quote Link to post
Guest jordy p
never make no difference for me aslong as there from same litter and bin brung up together jp Quote Link to post
moley 115
never make no difference for me aslong as there from same litter and bin brung up together jp i only keep dog ferrets and i have a right mixture from different years and different litters , i have all the adults castrated so theres no seasonal humping and once the pecking order is sorted , there isn,t a problem, once the younguns are old enuff to work , the whole lot will be in together ,all 11 of em don,t see why it makes any difference whether they are from the same litter or not or brung up together Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
Have had related & unrelated hobs live together happi;y all year long & i have also had then scrap like balls of fury when in season, just use your common sence if there scrapping & making each others lives a misery seperate them Quote Link to post
stubby 175
I too have two sets of 3 hobs living together, related and un related, yes they fight, yes they get sore necks, but you'll then see the pecking order, unless you see blood, I would'ent worry too much Quote Link to post
