drut 9
BASC for me although I feel a bit of a peasant when I read their magasine Quote Link to post
cyclonebri1 8
BASC for me although I feel a bit of a peasant when I read their magasine Must admit I was amazed that the BASC rate that was about £22? the last time I shot, (this may have included somesort of club rated discount), is now about £65. Sportsmans association any good?, don't offer personal injury, but full public liability. Quote Link to post
The one 8,457
S.a.c.s. 4 magazines a year for £20 and my 14 year old get free membership Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
At the moment, BASC, the CA, and the NGO. Obviously I don't need the insurance cover from all of them, but I am in BASC for my Wildfowling, CA because of another Club and the NGO because I'm a keeper and want to support them. Westy 0
Im with BASC - not had a problem with them although I know others who have. Cheers Westy Quote Link to post
martin 332
Definitely S.A.C.S. (Scottish Association for Country Sports)I would never join BASC again ,as they are just a bunch of money grabbers, and,if you think they are ok,then just wait till you need them to help you!! You also get a good discount from S.A.C.S. if you are a member on here, and, they have the same insurance,so,it should be an easy decision .................Martin. p.s. just contact Foxgun Tom on this forum. Deker 3,478
BASC Read up on the Gamekeeper membership requirements..it is cheaper than normal and gives better benefits..including a free ticket to the Game Fair and an additional magazine....could well be more of you qualify for this type of membership than you think. But there are plenty cheaper if you are just looking for some sort of shooting insurance!! Edited October 11, 2008 by Deker Quote Link to post
Lewdan 17
hi all fellow hunters!! who are you guy's insured with if you are that is??? With basc at the moment but getting a bit expensive any one heard of the shooters rights association? is it any good for insurance?? Quote Link to post
Rentomski 0
BASC. But I think they are somewhat biased towards shotgunners; no disrespect intended to anyone who uses shotguns. I was a member in the old WAGBI days when I shot pigeon over decoys and can appreciate the origins of the society. Now I stalk deer, aside from falconry, and think they should give more emphasis to all types of field shooting. Quote Link to post
