davie 0
how many times do ferrets breed in a year ? Quote Link to post
will.f11 24
they can breed naturally twice a year, 3-4 times under artificial lighting but most only breed once a year as its a bit unfair on the ferret to have to bring up more than one litter Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
I would be supprised to hear a jill had more than 2 litter in any one breeding season, naturally or artificially Quote Link to post

The one 8,511
Ive had them coming back into season 3/4 times using a snipped hob ,but i think they could only produce two litters a year due to the time scale Quote Link to post
Leeview 791
The show breeders were keeping their ferrets in complete darkness and using time switches, 6 hours of light 6 hours of darkness confusing the ferret in to believing that they was equal light/darkness in a day(photoperiodic) creating them to come into season for breeding Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
